We all want to be part of the panto fun
Young hopefuls have been queuing up to audition for this year’s Civic Hall panto, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Youngsters from across the region flocked to the Bedworth venue for six hours of testing auditions.
The show is produced by top theatrical company, Wish Theatre Limited, the team usually responsible for the Christmas production at Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre.
The 120 young people who auditioned were whittled down to just 24 who will be performing as dwarfs, and forest people, in two groups of 12 on alternate days during the run. The youngest is eight and the oldest is 15 and to get through to the last 24 the youngsters had to learn three separate routines.
The show runs from December 14 to January 16 and features local radio personality Bob Brolly as the voice of the mirror. It has already sold the lion’s share of its schools tickets.
There will be sign-supported performances for people with hearing impairments on December 19 and January 6.
