Have an Ikea Christmas

With just under six weeks to go until Christmas, plans are afoot at IKEA stores in Edinburgh and Glasgow to provide fun packed, magical Christmas shopping trips for the whole family.

From Thursday 23rd November until Sunday 17th December, the two Scottish stores will host a Winter Festival programme with something for everyone.

The programme at both stores will include children’s activities, workshops, Swedish food tasting, a pantomime and the Christmas Wishing Tree. The tree, which is part of the longstanding relationship IKEA has with UNICEF and Save the Children, will allow children and adults alike to make their wish for a better world.

At IKEA Edinburgh, a magnificent ice rink will be the centrepiece of the festivities giving those living outside the city centre the chance to get their skates on and whizz around the environmentally friendly rink. Visitors to the Edinburgh store will also have the chance to visit the farmers and continental markets as well as taking in an ice show.

Alongside the sparkle of the Winter Festivals, visitors can also pick up everything they need for the perfect Christmas. With a range of more than 9000 products including everything for a party, an extra bed for that unexpected guest or a new dining table for the family to gather around, an IKEA store has it all and more!

The IKEA Winter Festival will kick off on Thursday 23rd November and will run until Sunday 17th December.
