The annual Christmas pageant brought hundreds of thousands of people into Adelaide this morning.

The streets were packed as almost 60 floats, bands and clowns wound their way through the city. The clowns were also set to make a guest appearance at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital today. The crowds cheered and clapped as Father Christmas made an appearance.

One of the teenagers in the crowd dressed up as a fairy for the day. “It’s Christmas and everyone’s getting into the spirit, definitely us,” the teen said. “We’re wearing tutus. It’s just something fun to do. It’s near the end of the year and everything and it’s just really, really fun.”
