The Alnwick Garden is offering its visitors a truly unique Christmas shopping experience this November.

Displays of decorations, from the traditional to the contemporary and the unusual, will be up for all to see, and a wide range of cards and wrappings will be on sale.

On November 11 and 12, and 25 and 26, the Visitor Centre will play host to all things Christmassy with mulled wine, nibbles and music, as well as tastings and the chance to meet some of the attraction’s suppliers. Members of the Garden team will also be dropping in, giving visitors the chance to swop Christmas dinner ideas with one of the chefs, choose plants with one of the gardeners or see how table decorations are made using greenery from the garden.

The Duchess of Northumberland will be on hand to sign copies of her debut book, The Poison Diaries, and Ian August, Garden liaison director, will be signing copies of his hit tale, The Making of The Alnwick Garden.

The Visitor Centre, with the gift shop, garden shop and courtyard coffee shop, are free to visit. Christmas is a magical time at the Garden with festive lunches in the Treehouse, Santa in his grotto, an unusual Advent trail and other activities thoughout December.
