“A Christmas Story” at the House & Museum

On October 25, 2006, just a few days after Thanksgiving, the house featured in the classic Christmas movie “A Christmas Story” will open its doors to the public.

The house has been restored to its former glory, and looks as it did in the movie. The house is located at 3159 W. 11th St. Just across the street, the official “A Christmas Story” Museum also opens its doors for the first time.

The original movie was set in Indiana, however, it was filmed in Cleveland. It is based on the book “In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash” by Jean Shepherd.

Memorabilia from the film will be on display at the Museum. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.
