A Christian tradition returns to downtown Orlando’s Lake Eola on Sunday as part of the annual celebration of Epiphany.

The Rev. John E. Hamatie of St. George Orthodox Church casts a cross into the lake waters, and teenage boys and young men dive in to recover it. The one who recovers the cross will receive a special blessing.

The event begins about 11:30 a.m. after a procession from the church at 24 N. Rosalind Ave.
